History
BITPlan was founded in 1999 by four former employees of Rösch Consulting GmbH.

1999
Development of our product "smartGENERATOR". The SIS-West GmbH became the pilot customer. Several handheld computing projects were successfully completed.
The largest part of our business was the support of the CHEOPS project at RWE and the debt service projecct at SIS-West GmbH.
A new employee and a trainee were hired. BITPlan becomes a partner of Rational and IBM.

2000
The products "smartSFX", an electronic exhibition guide, and "smartInventory" were developed.
Various handheld projects were completed.
A case tool selection process was carried out with the SIS West GmbH.

The important players in our core business are still RWE and SIS-West GmbH.
The S-BASIS project is supported by several employees.
The Wilken GmbH becomes our new main customer.
smartGENERATOR supports Object Domain.

The first brainteaser is published.

The SIS West GmbH fusions with the Informatik-Kooperation to become Sparkassen-Informatik
Support for the project "Throughput Management" from RWE-Systems.
BITPlan introduces the "Y-Principle".
The book "Success Factors in Software Development" is started.
The brainteaser editions 5 und 6 are published.
At times there are as many as 27 permanent and freelance employees at BITPlan, but in the course of the year several permanent employees left the company.
